Recommended design
Create a pipeline per commercial process, not per individual customer. A contact can appear in more than one pipeline when they have different opportunities.
Example: Consultations: New enquiry → Qualified → Payment pending → Booked. Courses: New lead → Counselling → Enrolled.
Website placement
Map each website event to a pipeline and starting stage in Integrations. A submitted consultation form can enter Consultations / New enquiry while a demo request enters Software sales / Demo requested.
